A clear path,
from first call to filed.
No jargon, no surprises. Working with a CPA should feel simple — so the process below is built to be exactly that. Five honest steps, a dedicated team guiding you through all of them, in English or Vietnamese.
Consultation
We start with a relaxed, no-pressure conversation about where you stand and where you want to be — a tax notice, messy books, a property sale, a new business, or simply the feeling that you're paying too much. We listen first, answer in plain language and tell you honestly whether and how we can help. There's no obligation and nothing to sign.
Document & data gathering
Once you decide to move forward, we send a short, specific checklist — only what your situation requires, never a generic pile of forms. You share documents through secure online file transfer (or by appointment in person), and if you're missing something we'll tell you how to get it. The goal is to keep this step quick and painless.
Review & strategy
This is where a CPA earns their keep. We review your documents, books or business line by line — catching missed deductions, flagging compliance risks early and spotting opportunities specific to you. Then we map the smartest path forward and walk you through the reasoning, so the decisions are yours and they're informed ones.
Execution
Then the work gets done — accurately, on time, with you kept in the loop. That might mean preparing and filing returns, reconciling your books, running payroll or representing you before the IRS or state. We handle the technical heavy lifting; nothing gets filed before you've seen it and understood it.
Year-round partnership
The relationship doesn't end when your return is filed — the best decisions are made before a deadline, not after. We stay available for the June question, the September equipment purchase, the January estimated payment. You work with the same firm every year, a team that remembers your situation and plans ahead with you.
What to have ready.
You don't need everything to start — even a single document and your questions are enough for a first conversation. When you're ready to dig in, this short list helps us help you faster. Don't have something? Share what you have; we'll guide you on the rest.
- Your last one or two tax returns — so we can see how things were filed and carry forward anything that matters.
- Any IRS or FTB notices — letters about a balance due, an audit or a missing form — bring them all, even the scary ones.
- Income documents — W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, mortgage interest and any year-end statements you've received.
- Business financials or bookkeeping file — your P&L, balance sheet or QuickBooks / spreadsheet file if you own a business.
- A photo ID and SSN or ITIN — for you, your spouse and any dependents you'll be claiming.
- Your questions and goals — a short list of what you want to fix, plan for or simply understand better.
- Prior-year depreciation schedules — for rental property, equipment or vehicles — so deductions stay accurate and consistent.
- Major life or business changes — a marriage, new child, home purchase, sale or new venture — these often change the tax picture.
No jargon. No surprises.
You'll never get a return you don't understand or a bill you didn't see coming. We explain every recommendation in plain language, tell you the fee before the work begins, and make sure you know exactly what's being filed and why — in English or Vietnamese.
The principles
behind the process.
The steps are simple on purpose. They exist to deliver three things every client deserves from a CPA — and rarely gets from a big-box tax shop.
You always understand the why
Every recommendation comes with the reasoning behind it. You won't be handed a number to sign — you'll know what it means, what drove it and what it changes. Clarity is the whole point.
We plan ahead, not patch up
The biggest tax savings come from decisions made before year-end, not scrambling in April. We look forward — anticipating moves, flagging opportunities and heading off problems early.
A dedicated team that knows your file
You build one relationship with our firm — no anonymous hand-offs, no starting over. Our team knows your history, so you never have to re-explain it year after year.
A few quick answers.
The questions people ask most before that first call. For everything else, the full FAQ has more — or just ask our team directly.
Yes — genuinely free, with no obligation. The first conversation exists so we can understand your situation and you can decide if we're the right fit. If we can help, we'll tell you how and what it costs before any work begins. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
Not at all. We're remote-first and work with clients across the United States by phone, email and secure file sharing. In-person visits are available by appointment, so you can handle the whole process whichever way is easiest for you.
Absolutely. We provide full service in both English and Vietnamese — from the first consultation to every explanation, document and follow-up question. You'll never have to nod along to something you didn't follow; the goal is for you to understand your finances completely, in the language you're most comfortable with.
